The TTV Racing 5 Paddle Clutch and Flywheel Kit is a track focused drivetrain upgrade for MINI F54, F55, F56 and F57 Cooper S and JCW models fitted with the B48 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine, manual gearbox and two wheel drive.

Combining a 5 paddle cerametallic drive plate, a performance clutch assembly and a lightweight single mass flywheel, this kit delivers up to 700 Nm of torque capacity. Designed for highly tuned MINIs, it prioritises decisive engagement, heat resistance and durability under demanding track conditions.

700 Nm Torque Capacity for Tuned Engines

Increased engine torque places greater demands on the clutch, particularly during hard acceleration and competitive driving. With a torque capacity of up to 700 Nm, this TTV Racing kit provides substantial capacity for modified B48 engines.

The clutch is intended for applications where reliable torque transfer takes priority over the softer engagement characteristics of a road focused organic clutch.

5 Paddle Cerametallic Drive Plate

The cerametallic friction material is suited to the heat and loading associated with repeated track use. Compared with an organic compound, it offers greater resistance to demanding operating temperatures, making it a more appropriate choice for sustained performance driving and competition applications.

The five paddle design provides a positive, direct engagement feel. For the driver, this gives a clearly defined bite point and decisive torque transfer during fast gear changes.

It is particularly suited to track days and racing applications involving demanding starts, although clutch life will still depend on launch technique, temperature and operating conditions.

Lightweight Flywheel for Sharper Response

The included 6.2 kg single mass flywheel replaces the original 13.2 kg flywheel, removing 7 kg of rotating weight.

This reduction in inertia allows the engine to gain and lose revs more readily, helping the driver match engine speed during gear changes. The result is a more immediate response to throttle inputs and a more connected feel during track driving.

Not suitable for automatic or dual clutch transmissions, ALL4 four wheel drive models, B38 1.5 litre engines.

Designed for Track Focused Use

The cerametallic paddle plate engages more abruptly than an organic clutch and requires greater care when pulling away or manoeuvring. The single mass flywheel can also transmit additional gearbox noise and vibration, particularly at idle and low engine speeds.

This kit is best suited to owners who prioritise torque capacity and track performance over smooth operation in everyday traffic. For daily driven or road going MINIs we recommend the organic variant of this product.
