Forge Motorsport Induction Kit for MINI Gen 4 F65 / F66 Cooper S & JCW

The Forge Motorsport Carbon Fibre Induction Kit is a premium intake upgrade designed for the Gen 4 MINI F65 and F66 Cooper S and JCW models, engineered to deliver improved airflow, sharper throttle response and a more engaging driving experience.

Replacing the factory intake system the Forge Motorsport induction kit has been developed to address the airflow limitations of the original airbox, particularly the restricted air volume and inefficient directional flow. Forge’s solution retains the OEM lower airbox and factory cold air feed, ensuring a consistent supply of cool ambient air while introducing a redesigned carbon fibre upper airbox and larger intake tract to significantly increase airflow capacity.

Performance is central to the design. The system utilises an enclosed carbon fibre airbox which shields the intake filter from engine bay heat while directing cold air efficiently into the intake system. Combined with the factory cold air feed, this helps maintain lower intake air temperatures, allowing the turbocharger to spool faster and operate more efficiently.

The intake pipe diameter has been increased from 88mm to 100mm, creating a 46.7% volumetric increase in airflow capacity through the main intake tract. This increase in airflow allows the engine to breathe more freely, improving turbo efficiency and delivering stronger, more consistent power throughout the rev range.

Instead of a traditional panel filter, Forge selected a high-performance cone air filter featuring advanced synthetic nanofibre filtration media. The pleated design maximises surface area, increasing airflow to the turbocharger while maintaining excellent filtration efficiency. The system also includes a larger, smoother inlet hose, replacing the restrictive and convoluted OEM hose that can cause turbulence and disrupt airflow.

Extensive dyno testing demonstrated measurable gains. Peak output increased by 11 BHP at the wheels, with torque gains of up to 17 Nm, particularly noticeable from 3,000 RPM through to the redline. These improvements deliver a stronger mid-range and more responsive acceleration throughout the rev range.

Beyond performance, the FOrge Induction kit also transforms the car’s sound and engine bay appearance. Under load, the intake produces a deeper, more purposeful induction note, with pronounced turbo spool and dump valve sounds that enhance the driving experience.

Constructed from pre-preg 2x2 twill carbon fibre, formed in an autoclave from billet tooling, the airbox delivers exceptional strength and precision. It is finished with a UV resistant gloss gel coat designed to prevent yellowing and maintain its appearance even under repeated heat cycles.
