AEM Air Intake System - N18 Cooper S & JCW (Gen 2)
AEM is one of the world's leading performance air intake manufacturers. Founded in the USA over 20 years ago, AEM were one of the first manufacturers who designed performance aftermarket induction systems with specific tube lengths and diameters to take advantage of pressure waves in the inlet tract, and to begin producing induction kits to maximise the cold air entering the combustion chamber to maximise power increases. This quality and perfected design is certainly visible in their MINI intake kit.
The quality of the AEM intake kit is fantastic and that together with the superb power gains is what makes AEM a great induction choice for the serious MINI tuner, the K&N air filter included traps dust and debris through an extremely durable synthetic media, the filter incorporates a metal screen on the outside that enhances airflow and aids in keeping the pleating in the proper position.
The AEM has been designed specifically for the N18-engined R56 MINI to deliver cool air to the K&N air filter supplied, unlike any other R56 intake kit the AEM comes with an air duct, which mounts, to the bonnet making the bonnet scoop functional after removing the plastic grill. Kit fits:
All R56 MINI Cooper S models with N18 engines built after March 2012
- Fits All N18 JCW's
- N18 Cooper S models manufactured before March 2012 will require the intake pipe from a Cooper S manufactured after March 2012
- This kit is currently only compatible with the AEM strut brace.
Q. If you want to fit a strut brace with this induction kit the only strut brace that will fit is the AEM strut brace. This is specifically designed to fit around the induction kit.

Fitting Cost - £90
Fitting Time - 1 hour
Required Additional Items/Services - No additional items or services needed.
Lohen Recommends - Purchasing an AEM strut brace to go with the Induction kit.
Returns and Refund Policy - Refunds are available within 14 days after delivery for products that are unused and are in original packaging. Special order goods are non-refundable. Products that are damaged in transit to or from the customer can be refunded up to 14 days after the product has been delivered. Products returned to us in imperfect, non-resalable condition will not qualify for a refund. Products that are faulty due to manufacturing process are refundable under the manufacturers' warranty for a limited time specified in the manufacturer's terms and conditions. These do not apply if the product has been fitted incorrectly or misused, motorsport use could further reduce the manufacturer's warranty. If an order is cancelled or refunded the buyer is responsible for the return of the goods to such address as directed by the supplier and is at the consumer's sole expense. This does not affect your statutory rights.
