So the Gen 3 f56 MINI has been gracing us with its presence for a few years now and it has become a firm favourite within the tuning scene. We now have tuning options for all driving styles and applications, including the new GP3. Since the launch of this new MINI the demand for high powered MINIs is fiercer than ever. So if you are looking to get the most out of your MINI then we recommend getting a few tweaks fitted to your MINI. But the first thing your need to do is to simply read on…
1. Lohen Performance Packs
We have performance pack options for both the B38 and B48 generation 3 MINI engines. All our performance packs combine some of the best hardware and software upgrades on the market. Our performance pack 1 is aimed at those everyday drivers whereas performance pack 2 is aimed more towards those who use their MINI's for high powered applications. Both our B48 performance packs are also suitable for the new MINI GP3.
B38 Performance Pack 1 - looks to deliver approximately 40 + bhp and 40+ Nm or torque.
B38 Performance Pack 2 - looks to deliver approximately 60+ bhp and 70+ Nm of torque.
B48 Performance Pack 1 - will produce around 250 bhp and 440 Nm or torque.
B48 Performance Pack 2 - will produce between 280-300 bhp and 460 Nm of torque.
2. Quaife ATB Differential – EXCLUSIVE TO LOHEN!
All MINIs benefit from the power application a Quaife Differential can supply. It’s sometimes tough to get traction, particularly in slippery road conditions or when really pushing your MINI hard, however, the Quaife handles it with ease. The Quaife ATB Differential progressively locks as torque increases and doesn’t have any plates or clutches that will wear out so is a fit and forget solution as opposed to a limited-slip diff. The proof of the pudding is truly in the eating here and, if you haven’t already experienced a MINI driven hard with a diff fitted, we’d urge you to book a test drive with one of Lohen’s demo MINIs immediately! 3. Arma Induction Kit
Choosing the Arma induction kit is a great way to improve your intake temperatures whilst also improving the look of your engine bay. This kit is one of the few that actually replaces the original cold air feed. This kit comes supplied with a Pipercross foam air filter that improves airflow while restricting harmful particles that might be picked up while driving.
4. Remus Valved Cat-Back Exhaust
The Remus Valved Cat-Back Exhaust for the Cooper S and JCW features a remote control exhaust that is sound controlled. The valve is activated by a remote control key fob that moves through 4 positions; 100% closed, 10% open, 50% open and 100% open for maximum sound and performance. This exhaust is supplied with tailpipes that are available in a variety of finishes. This exhaust gives you and your MINI choice, power and incredible sound at the push of a button, allowing you to make it even more personal.
5. Suspension Upgrades
If you are looking to upgrade your MINI's suspension then based on your driving needs, we recommend choosing either a set of Eibach Lowering Springs or a set of Nitron R1 Coilovers.
Eibach lowering springs are a fantastic way to improve the handling and aesthetics of your MINI. Eibach's progressive spring design produces an excellent ride quality. These lowering springs reduce squat under acceleration, body roll in corners and excessive nose-diving under breaking. As well as these performance benefits you will also get improved good looks. Focused more towards the everyday driver, you can expect 25-30 mm drop at both the front and rear.
The Nitron R1 is an adjustable coilover and top mount suspension kit for the third generation MINI. It's adjustable 2-way coilover kit that comes with adjustable top mounts allowing height, damper, caster and camber adjustment. These coilovers offer incredible performance and reliability making it the perfect option for any gen 3 track enthusiast. They are designed to last both on the road and track.
6. Lohen Geometry Products
We have adjustable front and rear drop links as well as adjustable rear control arms for the generation 3 MINI. All our geometry products are designed and tested in-house. They are lightweight, easy to fit and can be adjusted when fitted on the car. They are available in a variety of colours.
