Stage 2 Manic Motorsport ECU Tune for Gen 3 MINI Cooper S & JCW
- What are the gains from the Stage 2 Manic Motorsport ECU Tune?
The ECU tuning has been designed to deliver performance from hardware upgrades. The ECU tunes requires the MINI to be fitted with a performance air filter or induction kit, a quality uprated intercooler and a freer flowing Sport cat downpipe or de-cat pipe if the MINI is being used on track.
The Stage 2 ECU tune coupled with the hardware upgrades will deliver approximately 285 BHP and 480 Nm of torque.
The Manic Motorsport gen 3 maps are available for Cooper S and JCW F54 Clubman, F55 5-door hatch, F56 3 door hatch, F57 convertible and F60 Countryman models.
The Stage 2 ECU tune requires the following modification to be installed to your Gen 3 MINI:
- High Performance Spark Plugs
- Performance panel filter or induction kit
- Performance intercooler
- Sports catalyst downpipe or decat downpipe
For the ECU tune to be installed this must be done at Lohen's HQ in Eccleshall, Staffordshire. It cannot be applied remotely. To install a Stage 2 ECU tune to the Generation 3 MINI Lohen will require the car from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
The ECU will need to be opened in order for the Manic remap to be applied.
Performance figures may vary and could be higher or lower depending on the individual MINI engine and the types of modifications installed.
What performance figures should I expect from the stage 2 map?
Expect roughly 280bhp and 480Nm of torque.
How long will the remap take?
We will require the MINI for a full day when installing the remap.
Can I convert my MINI back to stock power?
If you ever need to take your MINI back to stock, yes this can be done.
Will the remap affect my MINI warranty?
Yes, warranty claims relating to engine problems will be void if they know you have a remap.
Will MINI be able to trace if I have had a remap done?
Not through a software check done through OBD.
Will my clutch slip from getting a Stage 2 map?
For manual vehicles there is a risk the clutch may not be able to tollerate the increase in torque delivered by the ECU tuning.
Can I go back to stock if I am not happy with the map?
If for what ever reason you are not happy with your ECU map with the first week of installation we revert your MINI to stock power.
Are there switchable maps?
Is there a difference between the MINI driving modes?
Sport mode will offer pops and bangs plus an increase in throttle response. Green and comfort modes will simply have a reduced throttle response but the power will still be available.
Is this available for my MINI All4?
Is this available for my gen 3 Clubman, Convertible or Countryman?
